Care Transit and Better at Home were started here in Hope with the sole purpose of helping those in our community and surrounding areas that need assistance.

Care Transit Services

Through our medical transportation program,  Care Transit provides rides for medical appointments or treatments to those who have no other way of getting to them. This is made possible through client donations, and grants from our sponsors (scroll to the bottom of the page to see who they are) along with generous local individuals, businesses, and service clubs. Care Transit currently receives approximately 6.5% of its annual budget from various government funding. Care Transit also provides some separate services paid for by the Fraser Health Authority. Our volunteer drivers, use their own vehicles, or our wheelchair van or bus depending on the need, and provide excellent, caring, door to door service.

Care Transit also operates a number of bus services from Hope:

A We offer a free weekly shuttle service each Wednesday between Silver Creek and downtown Hope, along with a twice-monthly return bus service to Chilliwack and monthly, day trip bus excursions to various locations of interest. A small fee applies to the Chilliwack service and the excursions.

Organizations and individuals may rent the bus for private functions or excursions.

Better at Home services

Better at Home services are non-medical in nature. They are supplemental to existing health services focused on enabling seniors to remain in their own homes, and by so doing, provide the freedom to be an active part of the community and meet old and new friends.
